Bringing large corporate forum online. Case of SAP

GOAL
Run Online Client Event for 500 People
1
Launch forum platform
This was the first time the event had been held online, so it needed its own platform with corporate identity and intuitive interface.
2
Save and store knowledge base
After the forum, those who couldn’t attend live broadcasts could watch recordings on the same platform.
3
Design and direct broadcasts
In order for the organizers to focus on the forum and for the speakers to concentrate on the presentations, they need to be relieved of the burden of directing, sharing screens with presentations, moderating and rehearsing.
OUR SOLUTION
Develop User-Friendly Interface
Working on the solution we focused on the user experience on the portal, quick navigation without unnecessary movements. It resulted in a minimalist, discreet and practical interface.
All-in-One Platform for Landing Page, Streams and Knowledge base
The SAP forum had a clear structure, both of the registration page and the streaming platform. They were assembled from our basic modules: videoplayer, programme with a dedicated live stream, and knowledge base. The registration page gave information about the forum, showed a detailed programme, introduced the speakers and designed the access to the platform. The main idea of SAP Learning Experience forum is simple user journey scenarios.
SAP Branding in Interactive Design
Usually, online event platforms only let you add a logo or change the colour scheme. Our solution is initially made in the customer’s corporate identity. Each event turns out to be unique.

In order to highlight the new, advanced format, the SAP corporate identity was enhanced by interactive elements. As a result, the portal was made memorable and catchy: people wanted to revisit it and show it to their colleagues. At the same time, all the corporate constants of the original corporate identity were retained.
Knowledge Base as Outcome of Event
All broadcast records were stored in a knowledge base right on the platform, which is still working. Participants can return to the presentations of speakers at any time, quickly find a section by colour code and rewatch the video they want.
Broadcast Design, Split-Screens Set and Event Direction
The forum was directed by our in-house team: we made the technical script, prepared the speakers, ran the event with our own director and moderator. All this freed the organisers from extra work.
The broadcasts were designed in the same style as the platform. A set of split-screens was made to adapt the picture to the task: to show all the speakers, the speaker and the presentation, or just the presentation.
